The Danish Doctors Association announced on 28 September 2009 that its annual congress had decided that the organisation would continue to provide medical assistance to failed asylum seekers, even though this is prohibited under Danish law. At the same time, the governing Liberal Party has requested the Minister of Justice to determine whether the group Kirkeasyl ( "Church Asylum" ) is violating Danish law and "abusing" public funds by assisting failed Iraqi asylum seekers. The Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants (PICUM), with the support of Eurocities, held a two-day conference on 28-29 June 2007 in Brussels, Belgium, on access to heath care for undocumented migrants in Europe. The conference brought together nearly 200 participants which included representatives of NGOs, local authorities, health care providers, policy makers, researchers, undocumented migrants, and other actors to share experiences and discuss ways to address the problems associated with insufficient access to health care services for undocumented migrants.
This enclosed report (with photos) provides an overview of the contributions of the speakers as well as the main themes of discussion in the plenary and workshop sessions and is also available on PICUM’s website

Migrants Rights International (MRI) is seeking candidates for the position of International Coordinator. MRI is a global non-governmental alliance of migrant and migrant rights organizations, unions, faith based, regional networks and other sectors and groups that promotes and defends the human rights of all migrants. The International Coordinator (IC) will be responsible for leading the development of MRI’s international field office, to be based in Manila, Philippines, at least through the end of 2008. Många tror att papperslösa inte har några rättigheter eftersom de bor utan tillstånd i ett land som inte är deras.
För att bekämpa den myten har PICUM just gett ut skriften:
Undocumented Migrants Have Rights! An Overview of the International Human Rights Framework.
Syftet med skriften är att ge en översikt över de mänskliga rättigheter som papperslösa faktiskt har i internationell rätt.
